Chiara Simonetti was born in 1964 in Turin where she is still living now. She is a dance and literary critic and has been writing reviews on English Language literature for the weekly supplement ‘Tutto Libri Tempo Libero’ of La Stampa since 1993. She edited Eva contro Eva by Carola Prosperi (Palermo 2002), translated The Antwerp Toymaker by Nico Orengo (Turin 2003) into English, edited and translated Just As I Thought by Grace Paley into Italian (2007).
This book is her first novel.
